Social Media Superstar

Job Description.

Highly ambitious, outgoing, self sufficient, experienced, dog and people loving social media superstar wanted to immediately join our team under the creative direction of Wendy Williams Watt. When we say you know social media, we don’t just mean you spend your time consuming content. We mean you are an experienced professional on multiple platforms who understands the trends, tools, analytics and brand strategy required to drive engagement. You live to post, comment, measure and constantly engage an audience.


  • Execute brand strategy on social media under the direction of Wendy Williams Watt.
  • Create, edit and schedule posts on various platforms, especially Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
  • Reply and comment on our posts and others in our relevant audience.
  • Respond to DMs and forward questions and requests to the appropriate people and channels.
  • Constantly interact with and engage our audience as a representative of the Acre Dogs brand and team.
  • Measure engagement and make recommendations to adjust social media strategy.


This job is located in Vancouver, BC with no possibility of remote work from another city. You’ll primarily be working in person with Wendy and team at our brand new work space near Olympic Village. It’s a great creative environment in a perfect spot close to SkyTrain with food and other amenities nearby.


This is a flexible part time contract position that may evolve quickly into a full time roll for the right person. An expected starting schedule may be half or full days 3-5 days per week starting immediately. Let’s find a plan that works together.


Negotiable commensurate with experience. This would likely start out as an hourly or daily rate, but may evolve into a fixed monthly rate once a consistent schedule is determined.

Must Have.

  • Experience and knowledge with multiple social media platforms and a current understanding of the trends, styles and algorithms for each one.
  • Love of human interaction. You will spend time creating and monitoring posts, commenting on other posts and constantly interacting with our audience to talk about dogs and our brand. You live for this.
  • Skills and experience using the editing tools to quickly create and edit posts on various platforms.
  • Experience with tools and dashboards to schedule posts and measure engagements on various platforms. Teach us something we don’t know!
  • A strong understanding of our brand identity and the ability to be self sufficient to consistently represent the brand in public.
  • Ability to work in a small team and take direction from the creative director.
  • Your own modern devices capable of running all apps and software including at a minimum a laptop and smartphone.
  • An infectious positive social attitude that will represent Acre Dogs in the world.
  • Love of dogs.

Nice to Have.

  • Advanced skills with scheduling tools and engagement measurement.
  • Experience in a social media manager roll for a successful brand or social media campaign.
  • Video and/or photo editing skills to support our creative team in content creation.
  • Knowledge in other areas of marketing and brand engagement (ie. email marketing).
  • Web design or other technical skills.
  • Spanish speaking.
